Overnight Aussie Update

EPL

Mark Schwarzer (Fulham) - Started and played the full 90. Beaten by Sergio Aguero after making a brilliant save from David Silva. Could do nothing about the the 2nd goal after a defensive mistake by John Arne Riise. Man City  Fulham 1.

Brad Jones (Liverpool) – Remained on the bench for Liverpool’s 5-2 over Norwich.

Championship

Massimo Luongo (Ipswich)- Came on in the 46th minute in the 1-1 away draw with Barnsley.

Mile Jedinak (Crystal Palace)- Played a full game as Palace beat Bolton 1-0 at the Reebok.

Neil Kilkenny (Bristol City)- Started and played his first full game in awhile. However his team lost 3-2 to his old team Leeds.

Shane Lowry (Millwall)- Another full game for Shane as his side drew 2-2 with Burnley

League One

Dean Bouzanis, James Wesolowski, Alex Cisak (Oldham)- Dean conceded a late goal from a close-ranged header by Cody McDonald. Had earlier made a fine save from a Jamie Reckford shot. James started but came off in the 90th minute. Alex remained on the bench in Oldham’s 1-0 loss to Coventry.

Bailey Wright, Shane Cansdell-Sherriff (Preston NE)- Bailey played a full game in defence. Shane remained on the bench in PNE’s 3-2 win over Yeovil.

League Two

James Meredith (Bradford)- Put in the full 90 in defence but couldn’t prevent his team going down 1-0 to Port Vale.

Aaron Downes (Torquay)- Aaron was warmly greeted by fans of his former club Chesterfield. He played a full game and the match ended 1-1.

ConferenceNorth/South

Mitchell Austin (Stalybridge Celtic)- Played a full 90 in his teams 6-2 defeat to Chester.

Shane Huke ((Dover)- The defender put in a full shift as his team got the win and a cleansheet, 2-0 over Maidenhead.

Jon Brady (manager of Brackley Town)- Drew 1-1 against Colwyn Bay to remain undefeated after 9 games and atop the table by a point with a plus 20 goal difference.

SPL

Ryan McGowan, Dylan McGowan (Hearts)- Played the full game. Almost grabbed an assist with a nice cut-back to Arvydas Novikovac who skied it from 12 yards out. Kilmarnock scored their 1st goal while Ryan was off the ground receiving treatment. Dylan remained on the bench. Hearts went down 3-1 to Killie.

Alex Baird (Dundee FC)- Remained on the bench in his team’s 3-1 loss to St. Johnstone.

Scottish First Division

Marc Warren (Airdrie United)- Marc came on in the 14th minute in his team’s 3-2 home loss to Greenock Morton

Germany

Mitch Langerak (Borussia Dortmund)- Remained on the bench as his team thumped Borussia Monchengladbach 5-0.

Mustafa Amini (Borusia Dortmund II)- Came on in the 62nd minute. His team lost 1-0 to Preussen Munster.

Holland

Tommy Oar, Adam Sarota, Michael Zullo (FC Utrecht)- Tommy played a full 90. He again was the set piece taker on the right side with Adam Sarota the set piece taker on the left. Both played good games with Adam coming off in the 82nd minute. Michael was left on the bench. Utrecht suffered an undeserved 2-1 defeat with some great keeping denying them a share of the points at the end.

Austria

James Holland (Austria Wien)- Played a full match as a defensive midfielder in the 1-1 draw with WAC/ST. Andria.

Croatia

Steve Lustica (Hadjuk Split)- Came on in the 88th minute against Dinamo Zagreb but could do nothing to prevent his team going down 3-1.

Serbia

Eli Babalj (Red Star)- Came on in the84th minute and grabbed his team’s 3rd goal in the 88th minute in their 3-1 victory over Smederevo. Babalj was played in and took one touch before slotting coolly past the keeper.

Matthew Byrne (FK Donji Srem)- The Aussie defender put in a full shift as his team went down 2-0 to Novi Pazar.

Czech Republic

Kerem Bulut (Mlada Boleslav)- Came on in the 46th minute in their 2-2 with Banik Ostrava.
